There are new rules in place beginning Aug. 2024. Any buyer nationwide will have to sign a buyers representation agreement prior to being shown any properties. Buyers agent compensation will be established and outlined in the agreement. No longer will list agents offer buyers agents compensation on the MLS but the rules does not prohibit contractual commission negotiations.
